Willamette River Midcentury

Built in 1960 by Dick and Betty Heininge (she designed, he built), this home was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, Japanese design and the Pacific Northwest. It has a flat roof, four fireplaces, no right angles, floor to ceiling windows, and no subflooring - all considerations when remodeling and upgrading. It also strives to blur the lines between indoor and out. In remodeling, the goal was always to maintain and enhance the integrity of these features. Our goal was to bring the outdoors in when possible and use earth tones throughout. With that, it has gone through an evolution as it continues to support the needs of an evolving family.  The kitchen, master bath and outdoor spaces have all gone through massive renovations which also included taking out a closet and adding a guest bath, gutting the kitchen and master bath and building a sauna and outdoor shower. Now firmly settled in this century, this home is a perfect family home.
